Welcome Back to Data Things and Stuff

December 2, 2021

It’s been quite a while since I’ve written about anything here. Between working, getting married, and just life in general, I’ve found it hard to put in the time to share anything new in the past two years.

That said, I enjoy writing and intend to get back to it. So welcome to the launch of the new Data Things and Stuff! This site is written completely by me GitHub. I plan to continue writing about data things but I also plan to write about other “stuff” as well. I may go back, do a little retrospective and migrate my older posts. But for now, those older posts can be found here (I'll update the link when I figure out what happened to my Wordpress Site).

As I mentioned, I want to share other things that interest me as well. One of my favorite hobbies is fishing. I particularly like to fish for bass.

Every year, I like to set a few goals for myself. This past year, I set two fishing goals:

  1. Catch more than 10 fish in a day
  2. Catch a 5 pounder or larger

To any avid bass anglers, these are fairly low bars to set. But I didn’t get to use my boat as much I would have liked to in 2020 and with my previous pb (personal best) of a 4 pounder and maybe a best day of 7 fish in a day, I had to start somewhere.

Anyways, I’m happy to report that I’ve been able to hit both goals!

New PB 5.15

I ended up catching 28 fish in one day on Lake Nacimiento. I’ll save you from watching all 28 catches since several were nothing special and not interesting to watch. Here’s a sped up clip of about 10 minutes from that day that was just awesome.

Anyway, thanks for stopping by! Hope to share more soon!
